A dog entered my life without my permission. She was 7, and used to living on 4 acres of communal space. She was a rat's nest of hair. I shaved her, and within 48 hours, a cat lover was communing with an animal that was beyond anything I had ever experienced. I dreamed of her, and she dreamed of me.  What are we but molecules of our great God, loving as much as we can and trying our best? My Butchie Woman lived to 19 years and 8 months. What a dog. In my life between lives, I will see her, and hopefully again, and again, and again....
